EMS Clinicians expiring on March 31,2026

2025 Guide to Relicensure and the NCCP Requirements-

The AK OEMS is providing a courtesy reminder with information for those EMS clinicians who are expiring on 31 March 2026.

The AK OEMS has published the 2025 Guide to relicensure which has significant information regarding this relicensure cycle. It is a “must-read” document for you and will answer almost any questions you may have. The link to this document in the Licensing Portal is HERE.

Since 2016, the national (and Alaska EMS) standard for accrual of EMS CME has been via the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP). The Program was updated for 2025, and every EMS clinician must be familiar with how our EMS CME is managed. For your convenience, the AK OEMS has produced a state document explaining everything one needs to know on the NCCP. The link to this document in the Licensing Portal is HERE.

For any questions regarding your relicensure, please contact the appropriate AK OEMS staff below:

  1. For Portal issues (access, lock outs, etc.) and questions on the relicensure application, contact the AK OEMS Licensing Manager, Carin Marter at EMSinfo@alaska.gov.
  1. For questions on the NCCP, Traffic Incident management (TIM) training, and for what CME counts and what doesn’t, contact the AK OEMS Training Coordinator, Brian Webb at EMStraining@alaska.gov.
