About SEREMS
Southeast Region Emergency Medical Services (SEREMS) has been serving Alaska’s EMS community for over 40 years, providing vital support to first responders, medical facilities, and rural communities. Founded to strengthen emergency care in some of the most remote areas of the state, SEREMS works closely with ambulance services, fire departments, hospitals, and volunteer responders to ensure they have the training, equipment, and resources they need.

In addition to grant assistance, equipment sourcing, and operational support, SEREMS proudly hosts an Annual EMS Symposium in different communities across Southeast Alaska. This event is typically two full days of training, preceded by two to three days of pre-symposium workshops. It’s a unique opportunity for EMS providers to refresh their skills, complete continuing medical education (CME) requirements, and connect with peers from across the region.
