ETT Certification Information for Students

Updated information for both previously certified ETTs and new 2025 ETT students.

Previously certified ETTs (2022-2024) that transferred to the State Portal:

If you have already started an account and have forgotten your User ID, please click “Forgot User ID.” An email will be sent to the email on file with log in information. If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password.” An email will be sent to the email on file with log in information.

If you are not sure or no longer have access to the primary email address on file, please email emsinfo@alaska.gov with your full name, updated email address, and a copy of your ETT certificate. State staff will update your profile and assist you in regaining access. If you have trouble logging in, Please Don’t create another account. Email: EMSinfo@alaska.gov for help in resetting your existing account.

IMPORTANT: Once you log in: 

You will need to update your profile with the ETT Update application. This will bring the transferred account to a current status with your current information. We recommend you use a personal email. Please email emsinfo@alaska.gov with questions.

You will begin receiving an emails with instructions on renewing your ETT certification once we have everyone uploaded.

To successfully renew your ETT certification, you will need to

  1. Complete a minimum of 16 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) or attend an ETT renewal course.
  2. Hold a current, approved CPR certification.
  3. Have a State of Alaska licensed EMT 1 or higher sign off on your completed skills portfolio sheet, along with two peer evaluations.

New 2025 ETT Students:

New students taking ETT classes will create an account at the Alaska EMS Licensure Management Site. Please make sure you do not already have an existing account. [ follow the direction above if you believe you do have an account]

Your instructor will let you know if you need to enroll in their class, or they will add you to the course roster. You can search for a course on the portal education look up feature. [https://emsdata.chems.alaska.gov/licensure/public/alaska/portal#/education/findcourses ] 

 

Upon completion of your class, your instructor will upload your test scores and mark your course complete with a pass/fail and upload your skills portfolio sheets.

 

You can then log back into the LSM system and submit an ETT application. [ either initial or renewal application] 

IMPORTANT: Go to “Applications”, then “my applications”, then select the ETT Initial or Renewal Application. This is the same process for all EMT levels. *Each EMS License Level you must submit an individual application after a course. (even though ETT is certified through the SEREMS office, you must submit an application just as other levels do in the portal) 

Public-Portal-Applications

The application will ask you to confirm you have a valid CPR card and meet the requirements of certification, including submitting a copy of your ETT skills portfolio sign off sheet. 

Your instructor will let you know if you need to pay the $25.00 certification fee or if they have covered the certification fees for the entire class. If you need to pay the fees go to our store and enter your name and class number during the check-out process. Youth 18 and younger are Free. You can also purchase ETT patches and pins from this site.

Your ETT Certification will then be visible in the public viewing area, along with other EMS clinicians. You will also be able to log in and download a copy of your certificate or wallet card.
